Shipping
Resolute equipment is fulfilled for Canadian operators through a regional distribution strategy designed to provide rapid access to high-demand refrigeration and prep solutions.
- Fulfillment Hubs: Orders are typically dispatched from the primary 250,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Montreal, with secondary staging and satellite warehouse operations in the Greater Toronto Area (Mississauga) and Calgary to service Western Canada.
- Lead Times: Standard in-stock items, such as the Resolute reach-in refrigerators or sandwich prep tables, are typically processed and dispatched within 1 to 3 business days. Transit times for major metropolitan areas generally range from 2 to 5 business days. For large-volume project orders or specialized units not held in domestic inventory, lead times typically range from 6 to 10 weeks.
- Logistics and Handling: Because refrigeration units contain sensitive compressors, precision-aligned doors, and digital controllers, all units are professionally crated and secured to reinforced skids for LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight.
- Inspection Requirement: It is mandatory to perform a meticulous visual inspection upon delivery. Any evidence of transit damage—such as structural misalignment, dented stainless steel, or compromised glass—must be documented on the carrier's bill of lading to preserve freight claim rights, as the manufacturer's warranty does not cover shipping damage.
Warranty
Resolute provides a manufacturer warranty designed to support the reliability of professional food service environments.
- Standard Coverage: Most new Resolute commercial refrigeration units carry a 2-year limited parts and labour warranty from the original date of purchase.
- Compressor Protection: The sealed refrigeration system features an additional 3-year warranty on the compressor part, providing a total of 5 years of coverage for the unit's most critical mechanical component.
- Component Integrity: The warranty covers mechanical and electronic parts, including fan motors, thermostats, and digital control boards, against defects in materials and workmanship under normal commercial usage.
- Service Authorization: To maintain valid coverage, all warranty-related service work must be pre-authorized by the MVP Group service department and performed by a factory-authorized service provider.
Service & Support
Technical support for Resolute in Canada is centralized to ensure consistency in repair standards and rapid parts delivery across all provinces.
- Authorized Technicians: Repairs and warranty work are performed by a national network of factory-authorized service providers who are specifically trained in Resolute’s digital control systems and R-290 hydrocarbon refrigerant protocols.
- Parts Availability: A comprehensive inventory of genuine OEM replacement parts—including fan motors, thermostats, door gaskets, and digital controllers—is maintained at the Montreal and Mississauga distribution hubs and through partners like Parts Town Canada.
- Technical Consultations: Support is available to assist operators with ensuring proper initial setup, including the specific electrical requirements and clearance configurations necessary for optimal cooling performance.
Exceptions and Exclusions
To maintain the validity of the warranty, the equipment must be operated and maintained according to professional refrigeration standards.
- Maintenance Neglect: Failure to perform routine maintenance—specifically the cleaning of the condenser coil every 30 to 60 days—is a primary cause of compressor failure and is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty.
- Ventilation Clearance: Proper airflow is critical for the unit's efficiency. The warranty is void if the unit is installed without the required clearance on all sides (typically 3 to 6 inches depending on the model) or if it is operated in an ambient environment exceeding 100°F (38°C).
- Improper Utilities: Failures caused by incorrect electrical voltage, power surges, or the use of extension cords and power strips are explicitly excluded from coverage.
- Consumables: Wearable items such as light bulbs, door gaskets, and shelf clips are classified as maintenance items and are generally limited to a 90-day warranty period for manufacturing defects only.
- Consequential Loss: The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for food spoilage, economic loss, or consequential damages resulting from equipment failure.
- Freight Damage: Any damage sustained during transportation is a freight matter. Visible damage must be reported to the carrier at the time of delivery to facilitate a claim with the logistics provider.
