  • Logistics: Due to the weight of the compressors and the sensitivity of the internal beater assemblies, all units are professionally crated and secured to reinforced skids for LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight.

Warranty

  • Standard Coverage: Most new Pasmo machines carry a 1-year limited parts and labour warranty on non-wearable components from the date of original purchase.
  • Major Component Protection: The most critical systems—including the compressor, shell, and hopper—feature an extended 5-year parts warranty (with labour usually covered only in the first year).
  • Non-Wearable Parts: This coverage applies to major internal components such as motors, gearboxes, condensers, and digital control boards.
  • Service Authorization: To maintain validity, all warranty repairs must be performed by a Pasmo Authorized Service Agent (ASA) and pre-authorized by the distributor’s service department.

  • Authorized Technicians: Warranty and field service are coordinated through a network of factory-trained technicians. In Ontario, support is concentrated in the Toronto/Mississauga corridor, while Western Canada is serviced by authorized refrigeration partners in Calgary.
  • Parts Availability: A comprehensive inventory of genuine OEM replacement parts—including sensors, beater motors, and solenoid valves—is maintained at the Orillia and Toronto hubs to minimize downtime for high-volume treat shops.

Exceptions and Exclusions

To keep the Pasmo warranty in effect, the equipment must be maintained according to the strict hygiene and mechanical standards of the frozen dessert industry.

  • Wearable Parts: The warranty explicitly excludes "wearable" items that require periodic replacement due to normal use. This includes O-rings, gaskets, scraper blades, air tubes, and drive belts.
  • Maintenance Neglect: Damage resulting from a failure to perform daily cleaning and lubrication of the draw valve and beater seals with food-grade lubricant is not covered.
  • Water Quality: For water-cooled models, failures caused by scale buildup or mineral deposits in the condenser are excluded. Proper water filtration is required for warranty protection.
  • Improper Utilities: Failures caused by incorrect electrical voltage, power surges, or the use of extension cords (which are prohibited for high-draw compressors) will nullify the warranty.
