Shipping
Meiko products, recognized globally as a premium dishwasher brand, ship free to most commercial locations across Canada from the primary distribution hub in Mississauga, Ontario. From high-end M-iClean undercounters to industrial-scale M-iQ flight machines, Meiko units are precision-engineered Swiss/German technology. Due to their complex hydraulic systems, integrated heat recovery modules, and sensitive electronic control centers, these machines are transported via specialized freight carriers. Each unit is professionally crated and fully insured from the Mississauga hub to ensure it arrives in factory-perfect calibration.
Warranty
Meiko offers a comprehensive manufacturer warranty that is unique in its activation process, ensuring the machine is perfectly set up from day one.
- 1-Year Parts and Labour Warranty: This covers the entire machine for 12 months from the date of installation or 18 months from the date of purchase, whichever comes first.
- 24/7/365 Coverage: Meiko is known for providing around-the-clock warranty support for emergency repairs, often with no premium charges to the customer for after-hours service.
- Warranty Activation (P&I): A critical component of the Meiko warranty is the Performance and Installation Inspection (P&I). This is a free service provided by a Meiko Authorized Service Agent who inspects the installation and performs the initial start-up to activate the full warranty period.
To ensure coverage remains active, the P&I must be requested by the customer immediately following the physical installation by their local contractor.
Service & Support
Meiko maintains an elite service network across Canada, consisting of factory-employed engineers and highly trained authorized service agents. Because Meiko machines—particularly those with integrated reverse osmosis (GiO) or waste air heat recovery—utilize sophisticated green technology, all warranty work must be performed by authorized personnel. The Mississauga distribution center serves as a critical parts hub, keeping a vast inventory of genuine Meiko OEM parts to ensure rapid response times and maximize machine uptime.
Exceptions & Exclusions
Warranty coverage is strictly contingent upon the machine being operated and maintained according to Meiko’s rigorous standards. Specific exclusions include:
- Water Quality & Filtration: Damage caused by scale or lime buildup due to poor water quality is not covered. For machines with GiO technology, the use of genuine Meiko filters is required to maintain the warranty on the RO system.
- Cleaning & Chemicals: Failures resulting from a failure to clean the machine daily or the use of non-approved, highly corrosive detergents are excluded.
- Clogged Drains: Internal or external drain clogs caused by food waste or improper scraping are considered an operational issue and are not covered under warranty.
- Wearable Items: Consumable parts such as curtains for conveyor models, scrap screens, and certain gaskets are considered wear items and are not covered under the primary parts warranty.
- Documentation: Freight damage is not a warranty issue; any visible damage to the unit or crate must be clearly noted on the bill of lading at the time of arrival to be eligible for a claim.
