• Compressor Protection: The sealed refrigeration system includes an additional 3-year warranty on the compressor part, providing a total of 5 years of coverage for the unit's most critical mechanical component.
• Ice Machine Terms: Kool-It ice machines typically carry a 3-year parts and labour warranty, with 5 years of coverage on the compressor and evaporator.
• Value Series (K-Series): Specific merchandisers and entry-level units may carry a 1-year parts and labour warranty with a 5-year compressor warranty; always verify the specific model series at the time of purchase.
• Service Authorization: All warranty work in Canada must be pre-authorized by the MVP Group service department in Montreal and performed by a factory-authorized service provider.

• Authorized Technicians: Repairs and warranty work are performed by a national network of factory-authorized service providers who are specifically trained in Kool-It’s digital temperature control systems and R-290 hydrocarbon refrigerant protocols.

Exceptions and Exclusions

• Maintenance Requirements: Failure to clean the condenser coils every 30 to 60 days is the primary cause of compressor failure and is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
• Ventilation Clearance: Most units require a minimum of 3 to 6 inches of clearance on the sides and back for proper airflow. Obstructing this ventilation can lead to overheating and will void the performance guarantee.
• Improper Utilities: Failures caused by incorrect electrical voltage, a lack of proper grounding, or the use of extension cords are explicitly excluded.
• Environmental Factors: Operating refrigeration equipment in ambient temperatures exceeding 100°F (38°C) or in non-climate-controlled environments is not covered.
• Wearable Items: Consumables such as light bulbs, door gaskets, and shelf clips are classified as maintenance items and are generally limited to a 90-day warranty period for manufacturing defects only.

• Freight Damage: Any damage sustained during transportation is a freight matter. Visible damage must be reported to the carrier at the time of delivery to facilitate a claim with the logistics provider.
