Shipping
Infrico refrigeration systems are precision-engineered in Spain and, as specialized high-performance equipment, are typically handled as special order items directly from the European factory. In accordance with this factory-direct model, units are manufactured to order and dispatched through a trans-Atlantic logistics chain. While standard spare parts may be held at regional hubs in Vancouver, British Columbia, or Toronto, Ontario, primary equipment orders are managed through Infrico’s international distribution network, often involving a stop at the North American headquarters in Miami, Florida, before final transit to the Canadian installation site.
As precision instruments featuring high-density polyurethane insulation and sensitive digital controllers, all Infrico units are professionally crated in reinforced export packaging and secured to heavy-duty wooden skids. These shipments are transported via specialized international freight carriers and are subject to customs clearance at the Canadian border. It is imperative that the equipment is inspected thoroughly upon arrival; any evidence of transit-related damage must be documented on the carrier's bill of lading to preserve the right to a freight claim. Due to the special-order nature of these units, cancellations are generally not accepted once the manufacturing process has commenced in Spain.
Warranty
Infrico provides a manufacturer warranty that is among the most robust in the commercial refrigeration industry, reflecting the durability of their European construction. The coverage is designed to support high-volume foodservice and clinical environments.
- Standard Equipment: Most new Infrico refrigerated units are covered by a 5-year parts and 5-year labour warranty from the date of the original invoice.
- Compressor Coverage: The hermetically sealed compressor assembly features an extended 7-year parts-only warranty, highlighting the reliability of the cooling circuit.
- Warranty Activation: A critical requirement for coverage is the submission of the Infrico Warranty Claim Card, which must be completed and emailed to the manufacturer within 24 hours of delivery.
- Replacement Parts: Genuine Infrico OEM replacement parts carry a 90-day warranty or the balance of the original equipment warranty period, whichever is longer.
The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and applies to equipment installed within the limits of Canada and the USA. All service must be performed by a qualified refrigeration technician authorized by Infrico.
Service & Support
Technical service and warranty repairs are facilitated through a national network of authorized factory representatives and service providers. In Canada, representation is managed by specialized groups such as the Axom Group, which provides coverage for both Eastern and Western provinces. Because Infrico equipment utilizes advanced Infriblock monoblock systems and digital controllers protected to IP65 standards, all internal repairs must be performed by authorized technicians to maintain the safety and integrity of the unit. Authorized distribution hubs in Vancouver, British Columbia, and Toronto, Ontario, facilitate access to genuine OEM parts—including NTC temperature probes, gaskets, and fan motors—to minimize downtime.
Exceptions and Exclusions
Warranty protection is strictly contingent upon the equipment being operated and maintained according to the provided technical manuals. Specific exclusions include:
- Maintenance and Cleaning: Damage resulting from a failure to clean the condenser coil or maintain the equipment as set forth in the instruction packet—specifically the accumulation of dust or grease—is not covered.
- Improper Installation: Issues arising from incorrect electrical voltage, the use of extension cords, or inadequate ventilation clearance around the condensing unit are explicitly excluded.
- Wearable Items: Components that naturally wear down through consistent use, such as light bulbs, door gaskets, and shelves, are considered consumable items and are not covered under the primary parts and labour warranty.
- Product Loss: Infrico is not responsible for economic loss, profit loss, or food spoilage claims resulting from refrigeration failure.
- Environmental Factors: Damage caused by floods, fire, or other acts of God, as well as units subjected to misuse or unauthorized alterations, will void the warranty.
- Freight Damage: Any damage sustained during transportation is a freight matter rather than a manufacturer warranty issue. Visible damage to the crate or unit must be documented with the carrier at the time of delivery to facilitate a claim.
