Shipping

All CookRite products ship free from the Canadian distribution hubs in Milton, Ontario, and Surrey, British Columbia. As the specialized cooking division of Atosa, CookRite focuses on heavy-duty gas equipment including ranges, fryers, griddles, and charbroilers. Because these units are constructed with heavy-gauge stainless steel and cast-iron components, they are shipped via specialized heavy-duty freight carriers. Every shipment is professionally palletized and fully insured to protect the precision gas valves and structural integrity during transit. Liftgate delivery is standard for freight shipments across Canada to ensure safe offloading at your facility.

Warranty

Standard 1-Year Coverage

CookRite equipment is backed by a dependable manufacturer warranty tailored to high-heat commercial environments. The standard coverage includes a 1-year parts and labour warranty from the original date of installation. This ensures that all new gas components—including cast-iron grates, burners, stainless steel radiants, and thermostats—are free from defects in materials or workmanship. To maintain the validity of this warranty, the unit must be registered within 30 days of installation and must be installed by a licensed gas technician in accordance with local codes.

Specialized Fryer Tank Protection

For CookRite gas fryers, the warranty provides additional long-term security for the most critical component. While the standard 1-year parts and labour warranty applies to the whole unit, the stainless steel oil drum (fry tank) carries an extended 5-year limited warranty. This reflects the industrial build quality of the equipment and protects against leaks or structural failure of the tank under normal operating conditions.

Extended Warranty Program

Similar to the Atosa refrigeration line, CookRite equipment may qualify for factory-backed extended warranty programs. These programs allow operators to extend the standard 1-year parts and labour coverage to a total of 5 years.

  • Purchase Requirement: The extended warranty must be purchased at the same time as the equipment.
  • Total Protection: This upgrade provides 5 years of full parts and labour coverage, offering predictable maintenance costs for high-volume kitchens.
  • Registration: Online registration is mandatory within 30 days of installation to activate the extended protection.

Service & Support

Warranty and technical service are managed through a comprehensive network of factory-authorized service agents across Canada. Because gas cooking equipment requires specialized expertise for safety and calibration, all warranty service is performed on-site at your facility. To initiate a claim, you must provide the model and serial number along with proof of professional installation. Using authorized technicians is mandatory to ensure the use of genuine CookRite OEM parts and to keep your warranty in good standing.

Exceptions & Exclusions

Warranty coverage is strictly contingent upon proper installation by a licensed professional. Initial adjustments—such as leveling, pilot light calibration, and air shutter adjustments—are part of the standard installation process and are not covered under warranty. Damage resulting from improper gas pressure, incorrect orifice sizes (gas conversions), or lack of regular cleaning is excluded. Coverage does not apply to consumable wear items such as light bulbs, fuses, or porcelain-coated items. Damage caused by hosing down the equipment or using abrasive chemicals is not covered. Standard warranties apply to commercial installations only; residential use or unauthorized modifications will void the manufacturer’s warranty. Freight damage must be noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery to be eligible for a claim.

About CookRite by Atosa

CookRite has functioned as a primary specialized brand for commercial gas cooking equipment under the Atosa Catering Equipment umbrella since its global expansion. Atosa was founded in 2003 by Alan Cheng and is a division of Yindu Kitchen Equipment, Ltd., which is headquartered in Hangzhou, China. While the brand operates globally in over 100 countries, its North American presence is managed through Atosa USA, based in Brea, California, and Atosa Canada Inc., which was established in 2015. In Canada, the brand maintains a significant logistical hub in Milton, Ontario—located at 6670 Fifth Line, just west of Mississauga—ensuring a rapid supply chain and technical support network for the Canadian hospitality sector.

The brand's technical identity is defined by its focus on heavy-duty, high-output gas infrastructure designed for the rigorous demands of professional kitchens. A defining engineering hallmark of CookRite equipment is the extensive use of high-grade, corrosion-resistant stainless steel for both internal and external structures. In the range and hot plate categories, the brand utilizes high-efficiency 32,000 BTU open burners featuring a star-pattern design to ensure uniform heat distribution and rapid recovery times. For its griddle series, CookRite incorporates 1-inch thick polished steel plates that provide superior heat retention and a consistent cooking surface, even under heavy load conditions.

Innovation within the CookRite portfolio is categorized by its focus on mechanical reliability and standardized safety protocols. Key technical features include:

  • Standing Pilot Systems: Utilizing constant-burn pilots for open top burners to ensure immediate ignition and operational readiness.
  • Safety Thermostats: Integration of Robert Shaw self-reset high-temperature limiting devices and safety valves that automatically stabilize the flame in the event of an emergency.
  • Optimized Airflow: The oven bases within their ranges are engineered with a specialized U-shape burner and a "wrap-around" heat flow design to eliminate cold spots and ensure even baking.
  • Cast Iron Components: Heavy-duty 12-inch by 12-inch removable top grates and oven racks designed to withstand extreme thermal stress without warping.

The product portfolio is extensive, covering the core thermal requirements of a commercial line:

  • Gas Ranges: Available in multiple configurations from 24-inch to 60-inch widths, including options with integrated griddles and dual ovens.
  • Deep Fryers: Featuring the ATFS series with welded stainless steel tanks, oil cooling zones to capture debris, and high-quality thermostats with a range of 93°C to 205°C.
  • Griddles and Charbroilers: Including both radiant and lava rock charbroilers and thermostatic or manual griddles.
  • Specialized Units: Including stock pot ranges, cheese melters, and heavy-duty countertop hot plates.

The strategic value of CookRite by Atosa lies in its "Price-to-Quality" ratio and its robust international distribution. By leveraging the massive manufacturing scale of Yindu—which produces millions of units annually across 400,000 square meters of production space—CookRite provides professional-grade equipment at a price point that is accessible to independent operators and start-up kitchens. This is supported by a comprehensive warranty program and a "factory-direct" service model through hubs like the Milton facility, which maintains a deep inventory of OEM parts. By 2026, the brand has further distinguished itself by integrating smart kitchen automation and robotics into its high-volume equipment lines, positioning CookRite as a foundational partner for the modern, efficiency-driven foodservice industry.
