Turbo Air TGIM-49W-N 54" Two-Door Ice Merchandiser
The Turbo Air TGIM-49W-N is a high-performance, two-section glass door ice merchandiser designed to keep bagged ice perfectly frozen and attractively displayed. With a generous 39.88 cu. ft. capacity, this unit is ideal for convenience stores, supermarkets, and gas stations. Its advanced bottom-mount refrigeration system is not only energy-efficient but also uses eco-friendly R290 Hydrocarbon refrigerant, minimizing its environmental impact. The merchandiser maintains a consistent temperature range of 10°F to 15°F, ensuring ice stays frozen even in hot climates. A standout feature is the patented Self-Cleaning Condenser, which automatically brushes the condenser daily to prevent dust buildup, ensuring optimal performance and reducing maintenance needs. The brilliant LED interior lighting and advertising canopy panel make your product stand out, driving impulse sales and enhancing visibility.
- Self-Cleaning Condenser: Patented system automatically cleans the condenser coil, preventing system failures and maintaining efficiency.
- Digital Temperature Control: An easy-to-use monitor system keeps temperatures constant, with alarms for unsealed doors and a self-diagnostic feature.
- Energy Efficient Doors: Features two hinged, triple-pane heated glass doors that prevent heat transfer and minimize condensation, reducing energy consumption.
- Eco-Friendly Refrigeration: Utilizes R290 Hydrocarbon refrigerant, which has a zero ozone depletion potential and very low global warming potential.
- Superior Construction: High-density polyurethane insulation provides excellent temperature retention, while the bottom-mount compressor offers easy service access and a cooler operating environment.

Shipping
All Turbo Air products ship free from the primary distribution hub in Milton, Ontario. As a global leader in commercial refrigeration, Turbo Air offers an extensive catalog including reach-ins, undercounters, prep tables, and open-front merchandisers. Orders are fulfilled from the Milton facility to ensure efficient delivery across Canada. Because refrigeration units contain sensitive compressors and large glass components, they are shipped via specialized freight carriers. Every shipment is professionally palletized and insured. Liftgate delivery is standard for freight shipments to ensure the unit is safely offloaded at your facility.
Warranty
Turbo Air provides one of the most comprehensive warranty programs in the industry, specifically designed to protect high-volume commercial operators.
Standard 3-Year Parts and Labour
Most Turbo Air models are backed by a 3-year parts and labour warranty from the original date of purchase. This covers all mechanical and electronic components, including the digital controller, fan motors, and lighting systems, against manufacturing defects.
7-Year Compressor Protection
Reflecting the reliability of their cooling systems, Turbo Air provides an industry-leading 7-year compressor warranty. This includes the initial 3 years of parts and labour, followed by an additional 4 years of parts-only coverage for the compressor itself. To validate this coverage, the equipment must be registered with Turbo Air within 30 days of installation.
Self-Cleaning Condenser Innovation
A signature feature of Turbo Air equipment is the patented Self-Cleaning Condenser (SCC) system. A fine mesh filter sits in front of the condenser to catch dust, and a rotating brush moves up and down daily to remove buildup. This prevents the primary cause of refrigeration failure and is a key reason for their extended warranty terms.
Service & Support
Warranty and technical service are managed through a comprehensive network of factory-authorized service providers across Canada. For all major refrigeration units, service is performed on-site at your facility. Turbo Air provides dedicated technical support to assist with diagnostics and service dispatch. To initiate a claim, please have your model number and serial number ready, which are located on the interior wall of the unit. Using authorized technicians and genuine Turbo Air OEM parts is mandatory to maintain the validity of your manufacturer's warranty.
Exceptions & Exclusions
Warranty coverage is strictly contingent upon the equipment being operated and maintained according to the provided instructions. Specific exclusions include:
- Maintenance-Related Failures: While the self-cleaning condenser significantly reduces maintenance, the unit must still be kept in a well-ventilated area. Damage caused by restricted airflow or improper electrical supply is not covered.
- Consumable & Wear Items: Light bulbs, fuses, and door gaskets (the latter usually limited to 90 days) are excluded from the long-term warranty.
- Environmental Factors: Damage resulting from use in an outdoor or non-commercial setting, or unauthorized modifications to the refrigeration system, will void the warranty.
- Documentation: Freight damage is not a warranty issue and must be clearly noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery to be eligible for a replacement or repair claim.
