Engineered for performance and durability, this one-section cabinet features a robust stainless steel exterior and a sanitary anodized aluminum interior. Shipping
Master-Bilt products ship free to most commercial locations across Canada. As a premier manufacturer of commercial refrigeration systems—including reach-ins, display merchandisers, and extensive walk-in coolers—Master-Bilt equipment is high-mass and contains complex refrigeration circuits. These units are shipped via specialized freight carriers to ensure that compressors, evaporator coils, and glass panels are protected during transit. Every shipment is professionally palletized or crated and fully insured to guarantee the equipment arrives in peak operational condition.
Warranty
Master-Bilt, part of the Refrigerated Solutions Group (RSG), provides one of the most robust warranties in the refrigeration industry, designed to protect high-value assets in demanding foodservice environments.
Standard Protection
- 18-Month Parts and Labour Warranty: This covers the majority of commercial refrigeration units, including the Fusion and Endura series, for 18 months from the date of installation (not to exceed 21 months from the invoice date).
- 5-Year Compressor Warranty: The compressor is backed by a 5-year parts-only warranty, ensuring long-term security for the heart of the refrigeration system.
- 15-Year Panel Warranty: For walk-in units, the structural wall and ceiling panels are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 15 years.
To validate these warranties, the equipment must be registered with the manufacturer within 30 days of installation. Proper installation by a licensed refrigeration technician is required to ensure the system is balanced and operating within factory parameters.
Service & Support
Technical service and warranty repairs are managed through an extensive network of factory-authorized service providers (ASPs) across Canada. Because Master-Bilt systems utilize advanced digital controllers and energy-efficient R290 or Capsule Pak technologies, all warranty work must be performed by certified RSG technicians. The manufacturer coordinates with regional distributors to ensure genuine Master-Bilt OEM parts are available for rapid repairs. To initiate a service claim, users should have their model and serial numbers ready.
Exceptions & Exclusions
Warranty coverage is strictly contingent upon the equipment being operated and maintained according to the provided manuals. Specific exclusions include:
- Maintenance & Cleaning: Damage resulting from a failure to clean condenser coils or air filters—the most common cause of compressor failure—is not covered.
- Environmental Factors: Damage caused by installing the unit in an unconditioned space or an area with insufficient airflow is excluded.
- Wearable Items: Consumable parts such as light bulbs, door gaskets, and shelf clips are considered wear items and are not covered under the primary parts warranty.
- Site Conditions: Issues caused by improper voltage supply, power surges, or incorrect field wiring are the responsibility of the owner.
- Documentation: Freight damage is not a warranty issue; any visible damage to the packaging or unit must be clearly noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery to be eligible for a claim.
