Specifically engineered for commercial steam applications, including double stack steamers like the 9797-22 model, this water treatment solution is your first line of defense against the damaging effects of hard water. Groen 179464 Water Filtration System for Commercial Steam Equipment Specifications
Shipping
All Groen products ship free from the primary distribution hub in Mississauga, Ontario. As a leading brand under the Unified Brands (Ali Group) umbrella, Groen is the industry standard for steam-jacketed kettles, braising pans, and high-efficiency steamers. Because these units are heavy-duty, often featuring pressurized steam vessels and precision control valves, they are shipped via specialized freight carriers. Every shipment is professionally palletized and fully insured to protect the high-grade stainless steel and internal plumbing. Liftgate delivery is standard for freight shipments across Canada to ensure the unit is safely offloaded at your facility.
Warranty
Groen offers a robust warranty program that reflects its reputation for durability in high-volume institutional and commercial kitchens.
- Standard 1-Year Parts and Labour: Covers the entire unit against manufacturing defects from the date of installation or 6 months from the date of shipment, whichever comes first.
- 10-Year Kettle Shell Warranty: Groen provides an industry-leading 10-year warranty on the kettle's stainless steel shell, protecting against leaks or structural failure.
- Free Start-Up Program: For many steam models, Groen offers a free professional start-up by an Authorized Service Agent (ASA). Utilizing this service often grants an additional 1-year warranty extension (for a total of 2 years) on specific steamer models.
To validate these warranties, the equipment must be registered with the manufacturer within 30 days of installation.
Service & Support
Warranty and technical service are managed through an extensive network of factory-authorized service providers across Canada, coordinated by the Celco Inc. team in Mississauga. Because Groen equipment involves specialized steam and gas components, all repairs should be performed by technicians specifically trained on Unified Brands systems. To initiate a claim or request a "Free Start-Up" inspection, please have your model number and serial number ready. Using authorized service and genuine Groen OEM parts is mandatory to maintain the validity of your warranty.
Exceptions & Exclusions
Warranty coverage is strictly contingent upon the equipment being installed and maintained according to Groen’s technical specifications. Specific exclusions include:
- Water Quality & Filtration: For steamers and boiler-based units, damage caused by scale buildup or lime due to poor water quality is not covered. The use of a Groen-approved water treatment system is mandatory for the warranty to remain valid.
- Cleaning Protocols: Failure to perform regular descaling or the use of caustic cleaners that damage the stainless steel or gaskets will void the warranty.
- Consumable & Wear Items: Coverage excludes items such as scraper blades, gaskets, light bulbs, and certain valves that require periodic replacement.
- Operational Misuse: Damage resulting from "dry-firing" a kettle, improper gas pressure, or unauthorized modifications to the control board is excluded.
- Documentation: Freight damage is not a warranty issue and must be clearly noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery to be eligible for a replacement or repair claim.
