  • Lead Times: Standard in-stock items, such as the BLF series fryers and BLHP hot plates, are typically processed and dispatched from the Calgary hub within 1 to 3 business days. For specialized configurations or high-volume project orders, lead times for factory shipments generally range from 6 to 10 weeks.
  • Logistics and Handling: Because Blue Lava units feature heavy cast iron components and precision gas manifolds, all equipment is professionally crated and secured to reinforced skids for LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) transport.
  • Inspection Requirement: It is mandatory to perform a thorough inspection upon delivery. Any evidence of transit damage—such as structural misalignment or dented stainless steel—must be documented on the carrier's bill of lading to preserve the right to a freight claim, as the manufacturer's warranty does not cover damage sustained during shipping.

Warranty

Blue Lava provides a manufacturer warranty that underscores the durability of their "Hot Zone" technology. The coverage is focused on maintaining the structural and mechanical integrity of the equipment in high-heat environments.

  • Standard Coverage: Most Blue Lava cooking equipment—including ranges, charbroilers, and hot plates—carries a 1-year limited parts and labour warranty from the date of sale or 15 months from the date of shipment, whichever occurs first.
  • Fryer Tank Protection: Blue Lava fryers feature an extended 5-year limited warranty on the stainless steel oil tank, reflecting the high-durability construction of their three-tube burner systems.
  • Warranty Registration: To maintain valid coverage, the warranty must be registered online or via the provided warranty card within 15 days of installation. Failure to register within this window may void the warranty.
  • Parts Replacement: Under this warranty, the manufacturer’s obligation is limited to repairing or replacing parts that are proven to be defective upon factory examination.

Technical service for Blue Lava is coordinated through Western Refrigeration’s national service infrastructure, providing a single point of contact for Canadian operators.
