Shipping
All CookRite products ship free from the Canadian distribution hubs in Milton, Ontario, and Surrey, British Columbia. As the specialized cooking division of Atosa, CookRite focuses on heavy-duty gas equipment including ranges, fryers, griddles, and charbroilers. Because these units are constructed with heavy-gauge stainless steel and cast-iron components, they are shipped via specialized heavy-duty freight carriers. Every shipment is professionally palletized and fully insured to protect the precision gas valves and structural integrity during transit. Liftgate delivery is standard for freight shipments across Canada to ensure safe offloading at your facility.
Warranty
Standard 1-Year Coverage
CookRite equipment is backed by a dependable manufacturer warranty tailored to high-heat commercial environments. The standard coverage includes a 1-year parts and labour warranty from the original date of installation. This ensures that all new gas components—including cast-iron grates, burners, stainless steel radiants, and thermostats—are free from defects in materials or workmanship. To maintain the validity of this warranty, the unit must be registered within 30 days of installation and must be installed by a licensed gas technician in accordance with local codes.
Specialized Fryer Tank Protection
For CookRite gas fryers, the warranty provides additional long-term security for the most critical component. While the standard 1-year parts and labour warranty applies to the whole unit, the stainless steel oil drum (fry tank) carries an extended 5-year limited warranty. This reflects the industrial build quality of the equipment and protects against leaks or structural failure of the tank under normal operating conditions.
Extended Warranty Program
Similar to the Atosa refrigeration line, CookRite equipment may qualify for factory-backed extended warranty programs. These programs allow operators to extend the standard 1-year parts and labour coverage to a total of 5 years.
- Purchase Requirement: The extended warranty must be purchased at the same time as the equipment.
- Total Protection: This upgrade provides 5 years of full parts and labour coverage, offering predictable maintenance costs for high-volume kitchens.
- Registration: Online registration is mandatory within 30 days of installation to activate the extended protection.
Service & Support
Warranty and technical service are managed through a comprehensive network of factory-authorized service agents across Canada. Because gas cooking equipment requires specialized expertise for safety and calibration, all warranty service is performed on-site at your facility. To initiate a claim, you must provide the model and serial number along with proof of professional installation. Using authorized technicians is mandatory to ensure the use of genuine CookRite OEM parts and to keep your warranty in good standing.
Exceptions & Exclusions
Warranty coverage is strictly contingent upon proper installation by a licensed professional. Initial adjustments—such as leveling, pilot light calibration, and air shutter adjustments—are part of the standard installation process and are not covered under warranty. Damage resulting from improper gas pressure, incorrect orifice sizes (gas conversions), or lack of regular cleaning is excluded. Coverage does not apply to consumable wear items such as light bulbs, fuses, or porcelain-coated items. Damage caused by hosing down the equipment or using abrasive chemicals is not covered. Standard warranties apply to commercial installations only; residential use or unauthorized modifications will void the manufacturer’s warranty. Freight damage must be noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery to be eligible for a claim.
