Shipping

All Antunes products ship free from the primary distribution hub in Milton, Ontario. As a leader in countertop food prep and water filtration technology, Antunes—part of the Ali Group—is the industry standard for vertical contact toasters, steamers, and high-performance water treatment systems. Because these units are precision-engineered with sensitive electronic timers and specialized heating elements, they are shipped via specialized freight or standard parcel services depending on the model size. Every shipment is professionally packaged and insured to protect the stainless steel chassis and technical components during transit. Standard shipping ensures that these essential tools reach commercial kitchens and QSR environments across Canada efficiently.

Warranty

Standard 1-Year Protection

Antunes equipment is backed by a dependable manufacturer warranty designed for high-volume commercial use. The standard coverage includes a 1-year parts and labour warranty from the original date of purchase. This ensures that electromechanical parts, heating elements, and digital controllers are free from manufacturing defects. During the first 12 months, the warranty also covers travel expenses for an authorized technician up to 2 hours (100 miles / 160 km) round trip from the nearest authorized service center.

Specialized Filtration Coverage

For Antunes Water products, the warranty provides extended security for critical filtration components:

  • 1-Year Parts and Labour on the filtration system.
  • 24-Month Prorated Warranty on ultrafiltration (UF) membrane cartridges.
This specialized coverage reflects the high standards of Antunes' water treatment solutions, ensuring consistent water quality for ice machines, coffee brewers, and steamers.

Service & Support

Warranty and technical service are managed through a comprehensive network of factory-authorized service providers across Canada. Antunes provides 24/7 technical support to assist with troubleshooting and immediate service dispatch. To initiate a claim, users must provide the model and serial number, which can be found on the specification plate located on the rear or side of the unit. Using authorized technicians and genuine Antunes OEM parts is mandatory to maintain the validity of the warranty and to ensure the unit continues to operate at factory-calibrated specifications.

Exceptions & Exclusions

Warranty coverage is strictly contingent upon the equipment being installed and maintained according to the owner's manual. Specific exclusions include:

  • Water Quality Issues: For steamers and water systems, damage caused by scale buildup, lime, or foreign material in water lines is not covered. Proper water treatment and regular descaling are required.
  • Consumable & Wear Items: Coverage excludes items such as gaskets, O-rings, light bulbs, rubber feet, egg rings, and release sheets.
  • Improper Cleaning: Damage resulting from moisture coming into contact with electrical components or the use of non-approved chemical cleaners is not covered.
  • Operational Misuse: Damage caused by improper voltage supply, unauthorized modifications, or use in a residential setting will void the warranty.
Freight damage must be noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery to be eligible for a replacement or repair claim.

About Antunes

Antunes, founded in 1955 by August J. Antunes, has evolved from a manufacturer’s representative firm in Chicago into a premier global provider of custom countertop cooking and water filtration solutions. Based in Carol Stream, Illinois, the family-owned company is a critical infrastructure partner for the world’s largest quick-service restaurant (QSR) chains, including McDonald’s and Wendy’s. Antunes is defined by its ability to identify specific operational "choke points" and engineer high-volume, small-footprint machinery that ensures consistency across thousands of global locations.

The brand’s legacy is rooted in its revolution of the toasting and steaming categories. Antunes is perhaps best known for its vertical contact toasters, which utilize a dual-sided heated platen to caramelize buns quickly without drying them out—a process essential for the speed of service and flavor profile of major burger chains. Their steaming technology, including the Miracle Steamer and the Rapid Steamer (developed for brands like Noodles & Company), uses "dry" steam to cook or reheat proteins and vegetables in seconds. These units are engineered to eliminate the need for heavy plumbing or traditional hoods, allowing operators to expand menus in non-traditional or high-rent spaces.

In the 21st century, Antunes significantly diversified its expertise into advanced water treatment, recognizing that water quality is a foundational ingredient for both food safety and equipment longevity. Their VZN Ultrafiltration systems utilize a patented multi-bore membrane technology that removes contaminants and cysts as small as 0.015 microns while retaining essential minerals. These systems are often self-cleaning, reducing the total cost of ownership and environmental waste compared to traditional cartridge-based filters. This division has become so integral that the company now provides water solutions for entire municipalities and healthcare facilities in addition to its core hospitality clients.

The current strategic direction of Antunes focuses heavily on kitchen automation and the Internet of Things (IoT). Through its StoreLynk cloud-based platform and the acquisition of Automated Manufacturing Solutions, the company is pioneering "smart" kitchens that utilize touchless sauce dispensers, automated bun feeders, and conveyor systems to combat labor shortages and food waste. By integrating sensors into their equipment, Antunes provides operators with real-time data on performance and food safety compliance. This commitment to domestic manufacturing excellence and digital integration ensures that Antunes remains an essential partner for any operation seeking to scale through precision engineering.
