Larger specialized units, such as industrial spiral mixers and rotating rack ovens, ship directly from the primary manufacturing headquarters in Salem, New Hampshire, to ensure factory-direct quality control and alignment with the latest technical specifications.

As high-mass industrial appliances, all Univex units are professionally crated and secured to heavy-duty wooden skids for transit. These units are transported via specialized LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight carriers. Because many professional-grade units originate from the United States, they are subject to customs clearance at the Canadian border. It is critical to perform a comprehensive inspection of the equipment immediately upon arrival, and any evidence of transit-related damage must be documented on the carrier's bill of lading to preserve the right to a freight claim.

  • Planetary Mixers: Most SRM series planetary mixers feature an industry-leading 2-year on-site parts and labour warranty from the date of purchase.
  • Standard Equipment: Spiral mixers, premium slicers, ovens, and dough processors are typically covered by a 1-year on-site parts and labour warranty.
  • Economy and Small Prep: Light-duty slicers (such as the 4612 model), Panini presses, and hand mixer drive units carry a 1-year carry-in parts and labour warranty.
  • PTO Attachments: Power Take-Off attachments, including meat grinders and vegetable slicers, are covered by a 6-month carry-in warranty.
  • Accessories: Mixer attachments such as dough hooks, wire whips, and batter beaters carry a 90-day return-to-factory warranty.

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Any warranty service must be performed during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday) to be eligible for coverage.

Exceptions and Exclusions

  • Normal Wear Parts: Components that naturally wear down through consistent use, such as belts, blades, fuses, and shear pins, are considered consumable items and are not covered under the primary warranty.
  • Service Travel: On-site labour coverage is typically limited to a 50-mile (80-kilometer) radius from the nearest authorized service agency; travel charges beyond this distance or overtime premiums are not covered.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Damage resulting from a failure to follow prescribed cleaning protocols—particularly the use of pressure washers or steam cleaners on electrical components—is not a manufacturing defect and is not covered.
