Trento is Omcan’s premium line of high-performance, European-imported equipment. Moving beyond standard offerings, the Trento series represents a curated selection of top-tier machinery designed for demanding commercial environments, including bakeries, delis, and high-end retail. All logistical, technical, and service operations for the Trento line are centralized through Omcan’s national headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario.
Product Range
While renowned for their display cases, the Trento premium line encompasses a wider variety of specialized European-engineered equipment:
- Display Solutions: High-end refrigerated, heated, and ambient cases for pastry, deli, and gelato.
- Bakery Equipment: Heavy-duty spiral mixers, dough sheeters, and specialized ovens.
- Food Processing: Industrial-grade meat slicers and specialized prep machinery.
- Specialty Units: European-styled wine coolers and aging cabinets.
Shipping & Logistics
Trento products are high-value, heavy-duty machines. Because they feature precision-engineered European components and premium finishes, they are handled as high-density, fragile cargo.
- National Fulfillment Hub: All Trento inventory is staged and dispatched exclusively from Omcan’s primary facility in Mississauga. This serves as the sole distribution point for the line across Canada.
- Lead Times:In-Stock Units: Standard models held in the Mississauga warehouse are typically processed and dispatched within 3 to 5 business days. Factory Orders: For non-stocked European configurations or large-scale project equipment, lead times generally range from 10 to 14 weeks due to the overseas import process.
- Logistics: To protect internal mechanical systems and artisanal finishes, all units are professionally crated and secured to reinforced skids for LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight.
- Inspection Requirement: A meticulous visual inspection is mandatory upon delivery. Any transit damage must be documented on the Bill of Lading (BOL) at the time of receipt to preserve freight claim rights.
Warranty
As Omcan’s flagship premium line, Trento products are backed by a robust manufacturer warranty.
- Standard Coverage: Most new Trento professional equipment carries a 1-year limited parts and labour warranty from the original date of purchase (not to exceed 18 months from the date of shipment).
- Component Protection: Major components (such as compressors or high-torque motors) often feature extended parts coverage, typically up to 5 years (labour is generally limited to the first year).
- Service Authorization: All warranty-related service must be pre-authorized by Omcan’s service department and performed by an authorized service provider.
- On-Site Service: Most heavy Trento equipment qualifies for on-site service within a specific radius of major urban centers, coordinated through the Mississauga office.
Service & Support
Technical support for Trento is managed by Omcan’s specialized high-end equipment team.
- Authorized Technicians: Repairs are performed by a national network of factory-trained technicians. Technical oversight and parts dispatch are managed directly from the Mississauga hub.
- Parts Availability: A comprehensive inventory of genuine European OEM replacement parts—including thermostats, fan motors, control boards, and specialized gears—is maintained in Mississauga and through Parts Town Canada.
- Technical Consultations: Support is available to assist facility managers with initial calibration, motor speed optimization, and thermal management settings.
Exceptions and Exclusions
To maintain the validity of the warranty, the equipment must be operated according to professional European standards.
- Maintenance Neglect: Failure to perform routine maintenance—specifically the regular cleaning of filters, lubrication of gears, or inspection of cooling coils—is a primary cause of failure and is not covered.
- Improper Utilities: Failures caused by incorrect electrical voltage (especially for 3-phase European imports), improper grounding, or power surges are not covered.
- Operator Error: Overloading mixers beyond their rated capacity or operating refrigeration in extreme ambient conditions is excluded.
- Consumables: Wearable items such as slicer blades, gaskets, and light bulbs are generally excluded after an initial defect period.
- Freight Damage: Any damage sustained during transportation must be reported to the carrier at the time of delivery to facilitate a claim.
