Standard 1-Year Protection
Nemco equipment is backed by a dependable manufacturer warranty designed for professional use. The standard coverage includes a 1-year parts and labour warranty from the original date of purchase. This ensures that electrical components, thermostats, and motor assemblies are free from manufacturing defects. To maintain the validity of this coverage, it is recommended to register your product with Nemco within 30 days of installation.
Specialized Slicer and Cutter Terms
For Nemco's famous manual food preparation tools (such as the Easy Slicer or Onion King), the warranty covers the structural integrity of the cast aluminum and stainless steel frames. However, the cutting blades are considered consumable items and are not covered under the long-term warranty once they have been put into use.
Service & Support
Warranty and technical service are managed through a comprehensive network of factory-authorized service providers across Canada, supported by the Milton distribution team.
For smaller countertop items, service is typically handled as a carry-in or bench warranty. This means the unit must be brought or shipped to the nearest authorized service center for repair. Larger equipment, such as floor-model induction units or high-capacity warmers, may be eligible for on-site service. To facilitate a service request, please have your model number and serial number ready. Using authorized service and genuine Nemco OEM parts is mandatory to maintain the validity of your manufacturer's warranty.
Exceptions & Exclusions
Warranty coverage is strictly contingent upon the equipment being used for its intended commercial purpose and maintained according to the provided instructions. Specific exclusions include:
- Consumable & Wear Items: Blades, slicing discs, light bulbs, and heating lamps are typically excluded from the 1-year warranty coverage.
- Misuse & Abuse: Damage resulting from dropping the unit, overloading manual cutters with improper products, or using the equipment in a residential setting is not covered.
- Environmental Factors: Damage caused by improper electrical supply, lack of regular cleaning, or exposure to excessive moisture on electronic controls is excluded.
- Documentation: Freight damage is not a warranty issue and must be clearly noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery to be eligible for a replacement or repair claim.
