Shipping
All Bunn products ship free from the primary Canadian distribution hub located in Aurora, Ontario. As a global leader in beverage equipment, Bunn-O-Matic Corporation of Canada provides specialized shipping for their extensive range of coffee brewers, grinders, and liquid coffee dispensers. Because these units contain precision thermostats, heating elements, and glass components, they are shipped via specialized freight or standard parcel services depending on the model's size and weight. Every shipment is professionally packaged and insured to protect the internal water tanks and electronic controllers during transit. Standard shipping ensures that these essential beverage tools reach cafes, restaurants, and offices across Canada efficiently from the Aurora warehouse.
Warranty
Bunn provides a multi-tiered warranty program that is highly regarded for its comprehensive coverage of critical components. The warranty periods run from the date of installation.
General Equipment Coverage
The standard warranty for most Bunn commercial equipment includes 2 years of parts coverage and 1 year of labour coverage. This ensures that the structural chassis and mechanical assemblies are protected against manufacturing defects during the initial years of operation.
Enhanced Component Protection
Reflecting the high-quality electronics and specialized parts used in their machines, Bunn offers extended protection for specific components:
- Electronic Circuit and Control Boards: 3 years parts and labour.
- Grinding Burrs: 4 years or 40,000 pounds of coffee (whichever comes first) for parts and labour on coffee grinding equipment.
- Refrigeration Compressors: 5 years parts and 1 year labour on equipment with cooling systems.
Serving and Holding Equipment
For portable and peripheral items such as airpots, thermal carafes, decanters, and GPR servers, the warranty is 1 year for both parts and labour.
Service & Support
Warranty and technical service are managed through a dedicated Canadian support team based in Aurora, providing nationwide assistance. Bunn operates the BUNNserve network, which connects users with factory-authorized service technicians for on-site repairs of commercial brewing systems. To facilitate a service request or obtain technical troubleshooting, please have your model and serial number ready. Canadian customers can reach technical support at 1-800-263-2256 or via email. Using authorized service providers and genuine Bunn OEM parts is mandatory to maintain the validity of your manufacturer’s warranty.
Exceptions & Exclusions
Warranty coverage is strictly contingent upon the equipment being installed and maintained according to Bunn’s specifications. Specific exclusions include:
- Water Quality and Scale: Damage resulting from lime or scale buildup due to poor water quality is not covered. Regular descaling and the use of Bunn-approved water filtration are required.
- Maintenance Neglect: Failure to perform periodic cleaning and maintenance as outlined in the user manual will void the warranty.
- Wear Items: The warranty does not apply to items subject to normal wear and tear, such as seals, gaskets, and other user-replaceable parts.
- Operational Misuse: Damage caused by improper installation, unauthorized alterations, or use in a residential setting for commercial-grade units is not covered.
- Documentation: All freight damage must be clearly noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery to be eligible for a replacement or repair claim.
