Shipping
All Dry Ager products ship free from the primary Canadian distribution hub in Milton, Ontario. As the premium German manufacturer of dedicated dry-aging refrigerators, Dry Ager units—including the UX 500 and UX 1000 series—are precision instruments designed for meat, charcuterie, and cheese. Because these units feature high-quality glass doors, sensitive electronic humidity controls, and UVC sterilization systems, they are shipped via specialized heavy-duty freight carriers. Every shipment is professionally crated and fully insured to protect the internal components and stainless steel finish. Liftgate delivery is standard for freight shipments across Canada to ensure safe offloading at your facility or residence.
Warranty
Standard 2-Year Full Protection
Dry Ager provides a robust manufacturer warranty that reflects the high-end engineering of their German-made systems. The standard coverage includes a 2-year parts and labour warranty from the original date of purchase. This ensures that the HumiControl system, DX AirReg airflow technology, and the UVC sterilization module are free from manufacturing defects. To validate this warranty, the equipment must be registered within 30 days of installation.
Specialized Climate Control Guarantee
The 2-year warranty specifically protects the integrity of the aging environment. Unlike standard refrigeration, Dry Ager units are warrantied to maintain the precise temperature and humidity parameters required for safe dry aging. This coverage includes the electronic sensors and the specialized compressor system designed for consistent, long-term operation without the need for an external water supply.
Service & Support
Warranty and technical service are managed through a specialized network of factory-authorized service providers across Canada. Because Dry Ager units are high-precision equipment, service is typically performed on-site at your facility. To facilitate a service request or technical inquiry, please have your model and serial number ready, which can be found on the identification plate inside the unit. Using authorized technicians is mandatory to ensure the use of genuine Dry Ager OEM parts and to maintain the validity of your warranty.
Exceptions & Exclusions
Warranty coverage is strictly contingent upon proper installation and the use of the unit for its intended aging purpose. Specific exclusions include:
- Maintenance Items: The UVC sterilization bulb and the active carbon filter are considered consumable items and require annual replacement; these are not covered under the standard warranty.
- Loading Errors: Damage resulting from overloading the hanging rails or shelves beyond the specified weight limits is not covered.
- Environmental Factors: Damage caused by improper electrical supply, placing the unit in direct sunlight, or lack of proper ventilation (specifically for built-in installations) will void the warranty.
- Water Damage: While the unit does not require a water connection, damage caused by manual water intervention or improper cleaning of the internal drainage system is excluded.
- Documentation: Freight damage must be clearly noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery to be eligible for a replacement or repair claim.
