Shipping
All Cookshack commercial products ship free directly from the manufacturer’s production facility in Ponca City, Oklahoma. As a pioneer in the "set-it-and-forget-it" smoker industry, Cookshack produces specialized electric smokers, pellet-fired smokers (Fast Eddy's series), and charbroilers. Because these units are heavy-duty—often featuring double-walled stainless steel and thick insulation—they are shipped via specialized freight carriers. Every shipment is professionally crated and fully insured to protect the digital IQ controllers and heating elements during transit. Standard shipping ensures these high-performance smokers reach professional BBQ pits, restaurants, and catering operations across Canada.
Warranty
Cookshack commercial equipment is backed by a tiered manufacturer warranty that balances immediate support with long-term parts protection.
Standard Protection
- 90-Day Full Parts and Labour Warranty from the date of original sale. This initial period covers any manufacturing defects, including heating elements, wood pellet burners, and electronic controllers.
- 2-Year Limited Parts Warranty following the initial 90 days. This covers replacement parts for an additional 21 months to ensure the structural and mechanical integrity of the smoker.
To validate this warranty, the equipment must be registered with Cookshack within 30 days of purchase. This coverage is exclusive to the original purchaser and ensures that high-volume smokehouses have the parts support needed for consistent production.
Service & Support
Warranty and technical service are coordinated directly through Cookshack’s factory technical support team. Because Cookshack smokers are designed for simplicity and reliability, many issues can be diagnosed over the phone. For on-site repairs, Cookshack works with a network of authorized service agents. To initiate a claim or request technical assistance, users should have their model number and serial number ready. Using authorized technicians and genuine Cookshack OEM parts is mandatory to maintain the validity of the manufacturer’s warranty.
Exceptions & Exclusions
Warranty coverage is strictly contingent upon the equipment being installed and operated according to the factory recommendations. Specific exclusions include:
- Residential vs. Commercial: The warranty is void if a residential-rated unit (such as the SM009-2 or PG500) is used in a commercial or professional setting.
- Maintenance & Cleaning: Damage resulting from a failure to clean out ash, grease, or charred remains—which can lead to grease fires or airflow issues—is not covered.
- Operational Misuse: Damage caused by using unapproved wood pellets (with binders or chemicals), improper electrical supply, or unauthorized modifications to the IQ controller will void the warranty.
- Cosmetic Damage: Scratches or dents that do not impact the functionality of the oven are typically not covered under the limited warranty.
- Documentation: Freight damage must be clearly noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery to be eligible for a replacement or repair claim.
