Shipping
PizzaMaster ovens are heavy-duty, high-precision thermal equipment. Because they are often modular and can be stacked up to five decks high, shipping is handled with extreme care to protect the ceramic hearth stones and electronic control systems.
- Fulfillment Hub: The primary Canadian inventory is staged at the GBS facility in Oakville. While smaller countertop models may be stocked locally, many large-deck configurations are built-to-order in Sweden and shipped via sea freight to the Ontario hub before final dispatch.
- Lead Times: In-stock modular or countertop units are typically processed within 3 to 5 business days. For custom factory orders or specialized series (like the 900 or 1000 series), lead times generally range from 10 to 14 weeks.
- Logistics: All ovens are professionally crated and secured to heavy-duty skids for LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight. Due to their weight and dimensions, they usually require a liftgate-equipped truck or a loading dock for receiving.
Warranty
PizzaMaster provides a robust manufacturer warranty that reflects the industrial-grade performance of their high-temperature heating elements and thermal insulation.
- Standard Coverage: Most new PizzaMaster deck ovens carry a 2-year limited parts warranty and a 1-year labour warranty from the original date of installation.
- Warranty Activation: To activate the warranty, a "Function Control Checklist" must typically be completed by the authorized installer and submitted to the manufacturer or GBS service department.
- Component Protection: The warranty covers the heating elements, digital control boards, and thermostats against manufacturing defects. However, the warranty is strictly commercial; installation in a residential or non-commercial setting will nullify all coverage.
- Service Tiers: Due to the size of the equipment, warranty service is performed on-site by a factory-authorized technician.
Service & Support
Technical support for PizzaMaster in Canada is centralized through GBS Foodservice Equipment to ensure that high-volume pizzerias maintain consistent bake cycles.
- Authorized Technicians: Repairs and warranty work are performed by a national network of CFESA-certified technicians who are specifically trained in PizzaMaster’s "Balanced Heat Distribution" and "TempIQ Guard" technologies.
- Parts Availability: Parts Town Canada serves as the exclusive master parts distributor, maintaining a deep inventory of genuine OEM parts—including hearth stones, door springs, sensors, and contactors—in their Ontario and Western Canada hubs.
- Technical Consultations: GBS provides expert guidance on electrical requirements, as these ovens are high-draw machines and require precise voltage matching (208V, 240V, or 480V) to function correctly.
Exceptions and Exclusions
To maintain the validity of the warranty, PizzaMaster ovens must be operated and maintained according to the manufacturer’s rigorous thermal and electrical guidelines.
- Electrical Matching: Damage caused by connecting an oven to an incorrect voltage or phase (e.g., 208V oven on a 240V line) is a major exclusion. All electrical connections must be performed by a licensed electrician, and no power cables or plugs are supplied with the units.
- Clearance Requirements: Improper installation with inadequate ventilation is a primary cause of control board failure. A minimum of 2 inches of clearance is required around the unit, increasing to 6 inches if the oven is adjacent to other hot equipment like fryers or ranges.
- Steam System Maintenance: For ovens equipped with the optional steam system, damage caused by scale buildup or poor water quality is not covered. A water filtration or softening system is required if the local water supply is hard.
- Hearth Stone Care: The natural clay hearth stones are durable but can crack if exposed to thermal shock (e.g., cleaning with water while hot) or physical impact. Such damage is considered improper use and is not covered.
- Wearable Items: Consumables like light bulbs and door gaskets are considered maintenance items and are typically excluded from the primary warranty after an initial 90-day defect period.
