- 3-Year Parts and Labour Warranty on the entire unit from the date of original installation.
- 5-Year Compressor Warranty (parts only), providing an additional two years of coverage for the heart of the refrigeration system.
Specialty & Chef Base Coverage
For specific categories like Celcold Chef Bases and certain economy models, the warranty terms may vary:
- 2-Year Parts and Labour Warranty is standard for chef bases (CCB series).
- 1-Year Parts and Labour Warranty applies to the Celcold Essential line (such as the CEF ice cream freezers).
- All units maintain the 5-Year Compressor Warranty regardless of the series.
To validate these warranties, the equipment must be registered with Celco Inc. within 30 days of installation.
Service & Support
Warranty and technical service are managed through Celco’s extensive national service network, coordinated directly from their Mississauga headquarters. Because refrigeration failure can lead to significant product loss, Celco provides responsive technical assistance and dispatches factory-authorized technicians for on-site repairs. To initiate a claim, please have your model number and serial number ready. Using authorized technicians and genuine Celcold OEM parts is mandatory to maintain the validity of your manufacturer’s warranty.
Exceptions & Exclusions
Warranty coverage is strictly contingent upon proper installation and routine maintenance. Specific exclusions include:
- Maintenance Neglect: Damage resulting from failure to clean the condenser coils, blocked airflow, or improper defrosting is not covered. Celcold units utilize energy-efficient R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, which requires clear airflow for optimal performance.
- Consumable & Wear Items: Magnetic door gaskets (though easily replaceable), light bulbs, and plastic internal accessories are typically excluded from long-term coverage.
- Environmental Factors: Damage caused by improper electrical supply, use of extension cords, or installation in outdoor/non-commercial settings is not covered.
- Documentation: Freight damage is not a warranty issue and must be clearly noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery to be eligible for a replacement or repair claim.
