Shipping
Cadco products ship free to commercial locations across Canada from the primary distribution hub in Mississauga, Ontario. As a leader in specialized countertop appliances—including high-performance convection ovens, induction ranges, and mobile serving carts—Cadco equipment is engineered for durability and precision. These units are shipped via specialized freight or parcel carriers depending on the weight and fragility of the components, such as glass oven doors or electronic control boards. Every shipment is professionally packaged and insured from the Mississauga hub to ensure it arrives in peak operational condition.
Warranty
Cadco provides a multi-tiered manufacturer warranty designed to protect its diverse range of professional foodservice equipment.
Standard Protection
- 1-Year Limited Warranty: Most countertop products, including hot plates, griddles, and toasters, are covered for 12 months from the date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship.
- 2-Year Limited Oven Warranty: For convection ovens (XAF/XAFT series), the warranty typically includes 12 months of parts and labour, with an additional 12 months covering parts only.
- On-Site vs. Carry-In: Larger 208-240V convection ovens and mobile carts generally qualify for on-site warranty service. Smaller 120V countertop appliances are typically considered carry-in items, requiring the user to transport the unit to an authorized service center.
To validate the warranty, the equipment must be registered with Cadco or its authorized Canadian representative, Tarrison Products Ltd., within 30 days of installation.
Service & Support
Technical service and warranty repairs are managed through a national network of factory-authorized service providers. In Canada, Cadco service is often coordinated through Tarrison Products in Ontario. Because Cadco equipment—particularly their digital ovens—utilizes precise heating and airflow technology, all warranty-related repairs must be performed by authorized technicians. The Mississauga-based distribution center maintains a comprehensive inventory of genuine Cadco OEM parts to facilitate rapid repairs. Using unauthorized service agents or non-OEM parts will void the manufacturer’s warranty.
Exceptions & Exclusions
Warranty coverage is strictly contingent upon the equipment being operated and maintained according to the provided manuals. Specific exclusions include:
- Short-Term Components: Certain parts have limited coverage windows, such as oven glass (30 days) and light bulbs or gaskets (90 days).
- Maintenance & Cleaning: Damage resulting from a failure to clean the unit or the use of abrasive chemicals on stainless steel or glass surfaces is not covered.
- Operational Misuse: Damage caused by using the equipment for non-commercial purposes, improper electrical supply (incorrect voltage), or unauthorized modifications is excluded.
- Mobile Use: Standard warranties may be restricted if the equipment is used in mobile applications like food trucks unless specifically rated for such use.
- Documentation: Freight damage is not a warranty issue; any visible damage to the packaging or unit must be clearly noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery to be eligible for a claim.
