Shipping
All Ice-O-Matic products ship free from the primary distribution hub in Mississauga, Ontario. As a cornerstone brand distributed by Celco Inc., Ice-O-Matic provides a full range of ice solutions, including the Elevation (CIM) series cubers, Pearl Ice (GEM) dispensers, and flakers. Because these machines contain sensitive components like evaporator plates, harvest assist motors, and compressors, they are shipped via specialized freight carriers. Every shipment is professionally palletized and insured to prevent damage to the stainless steel cabinet or internal refrigeration lines. Liftgate delivery is standard for freight shipments across Canada to ensure the unit is safely offloaded at your facility.
Warranty
Ice-O-Matic offers one of the most comprehensive and unique warranty programs in the industry, focusing on the longevity of the evaporator—the heart of the machine.
Standard Protection
- 3-Year Parts and Labour Warranty on the entire unit from the date of original installation (Cube, Pearl Ice, and Flaker modular units).
- 5-Year Parts Warranty on the compressor and the evaporator.
The 7-Year Extended Evaporator Warranty
Ice-O-Matic provides an industry-exclusive 7-Year Evaporator Warranty for their Cube ice machines (ICE and CIM series). To qualify for this extended coverage, you must:
- Purchase an Ice-O-Matic water filter at the same time as the machine.
- Replace the filter cartridge every six months and maintain records of the change.
This upgrades the evaporator coverage from 5 years (parts only) to 7 years (parts and labour), providing the best protection available in North America.
Service & Support
Warranty and technical service are managed through Celco’s extensive national service network, coordinated from their Mississauga headquarters. Ice-O-Matic machines, particularly the Elevation series, are designed for ease of service with front-facing access and tool-free components. To initiate a claim or request technical assistance, please have your model number and serial number ready. Using authorized technicians and genuine Ice-O-Matic OEM parts is mandatory to maintain the validity of your warranty and ensure the unit continues to meet production capacities.
Exceptions & Exclusions
Warranty coverage is strictly contingent upon the equipment being installed and maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Specific exclusions include:
- Water Quality & Scale: Damage caused by scale buildup or minerals due to poor water quality is not covered. Regular descaling and the use of approved filtration are required.
- Cleaning Maintenance: Failure to perform semi-annual professional cleaning and sanitizing, or failure to clean the air-cooled condenser, will void the warranty.
- Consumable Items: Coverage excludes wear items such as water filters, light bulbs, and plastic bin accessories.
- Environmental Factors: Damage resulting from improper electrical supply, high ambient temperatures, or installation in outdoor/non-commercial settings is not covered.
- Documentation: Freight damage is not a warranty issue and must be clearly noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery to be eligible for a replacement or repair claim.
